Okay, I am a puzzle nut, so I found this website where you can do jigsaw puzzles online. They have a daily puzzle as well as an archive of different puzzles, and many different cut styles...from simple to extremely difficult.

Okay, so I have never had a blog before. They say there is a first time for everything...so here goes! I'm guessing that this is going to be a random thoughts kind of thing...whatever is going on right now will likely be my topic.

So right now I am thinking about how precious life is. My husband's grandfather unexpectedly passed last week. He was just a couple of weeks shy of 90. He lived through some amazing times. He was a wonderful man, and I was proud to call him Papa. From the moment I showed up , he and Granny (who passed 17months to the day earlier) never treated me as anything other than family. They welcomed me with open arms, and loved me as I am. I am proud to now share their last name. I miss them both.

My children don't understand it. Reagan will not remember him, and Thomas' memory of him will be fuzzy. I hate that for them. When Thomas was born he had all his great-grandparents. We have lost 3 in the last 4 years...my own dear Papa Cox, Granny & Papa Pearson. Life is precious...we don't know when the last breath will come. My dear Mama recently informed me that she wants to update her will...and name me an executor. That scares me, and I am honored by it. Honored that she trusts me with such things. Scared because I am no where near ready to let her go. She has been such and influence in my life...she had such a hand in raising me. She has been such a good example of a woman of faith.

Some days (like today for example!) I am wiped out and weary of wiping runny noses, kissing boo-boos, and stopping fights...but oh how I love my children! I wouldn't trade them for anything this world has to offer! They are my joy...watching them grow into the young man and woman they will be is exciting...and terrifying. I am scared to death of teaching them how to be responsible adults. How do I teach my son to be a gentleman? How do I teach my daughter to be feminine, modest, and truthful? I am unworthy of the task...but God has given them to me, and I pray He will teach me to teach them. Thomas is old enough now that he prays each night at bedtime. Sometimes he does not want to...and it is a struggle...but some nights, I see his little heart softening...I see God working in him. That brings such joy to me! My most fervant prayer is "save them Lord...make them yours!"
